Safety without concerns Housing Accommodating the ICT equipment in a(nother) data centre is often part of BenN’s design and implementation projects. BenN works thoroughly as well as pragmatically, to be able to switch to another housing environment not only without disruptions, but also quickly. Cases BenN has the following examples of carried out assignments. 1. For a company with 1500 users, BenN made a well-balanced choice for a new environment in which the ICT equipment could be placed outside the organisation, after design and a call for tenders. The transition happened without any disruptions in the daily activities; 2. For a world-wide organisation, BenN tendered a new housing environment, after which the IT equipment was placed into a data centre under supervision of BenN. The organisation did not notice anything of this transition. Hosting BenN has been working on the design and selection of hosting the company communication environment since 2005. For example, BenN designs data and telephony services for (multi-)nationals, which are purchased by service providers, without the presence of the necessary equipment at the user companies. This seems simple, but from BenN’s experience it has become evident that the outsourcing organisation needs to know clearly where it is heading, which objectives it wants to meet and what flexibility needs to be realised.
