Fixed/mobile integration
The best of both worlds with BenN’s experience

BenN was there from the outset of fixed/mobile integration in the Netherlands, researching since 1995. The realisation of the first design followed in 2003 and the first successful implementation in 2004. Fixed/mobile integration can only be realised with the necessary knowledge on telephony, lots of guts and determination. BenN takes you into a world of (im)possibilities of the best of two worlds. Below you can find some examples. You can also find more information at “Publications”.

Cases

Project 1: The design, selection and implementation of a solution based on full functional integration of fixed and mobile telephony for 3000 users.

Reason: replacement of an outdated Dect-telephony infrastructure;

Objective: realising an infrastructure, based on which;
* users can work more mobile at lower costs;
* the desired PBX functionality is available on the GSM;
* there is one, integrated management platform.

Runtime: 9 months;

BenN has been responsible for:
* the functional and technical design of the solution;
* the selection of the hardware and software, as well as the mobile operator. This was including a tender, in which BenN negotiated together with the client to come to an optimal solution at a sharp price structure;
* the implementation of this solution. This concerned the advisory activities as well as the project management.

Result: a well-working solution based on the functional integration of fixed and mobile telephony, with which more people can work more mobile at lower costs and the management of the mobile telephone system is equal to that of the fixed telephone system.

Project 2: Designing a hosted fixed/mobile integrated telephony solution, using an IP telephony system for 400 locations world-wide.

Reason: fragmented telephony solutions for working at the office (including a call center), at home and on the road;

Objective: researching the feasibility of a telephony infrastructure based on the functional integration of fixed and mobile telephony, designing the best suitable infrastructure and tendering it;

Runtime: 5 months

BenN has been responsible for:
* drawing up an inventory of the current and the desired situation;
* developing the most practical solution scenarios for the client;
* writing the RFP document, including a benchmarking mechanism;
* comparing the offers and selecting the best scoring supplier.

Result: a conscious choice for the best suitable communication infrastructure.
